Settings

The following table describes the fields in the Settings panel in the Designer tab of a regime document.

Field Description
Periodicity Periodicity of the regime calculation: Annually, Semiannually, Quarterly or Monthly. It should match the periodicity of fiscal terms. This periodicity will be used to calculate all modules in the regime, but can be overwritten for individual modules.
Currency

The currency used in the regime calculation.

Note: Data may be entered in other currencies but all values will be converted to nominal and then to the regime currency prior to calculation.

Fiscal Year-End This setting can be used to set annual calculations to run for fiscal years (FY) instead of calendar years; this specifies the end month of the fiscal year. The default value is 'December', hence calculations will run over calendar years. See Fiscal Year regimes.
Weighting This setting is used in ringfenced calculations. It is applied when a project variable has its aggregation method set to Weighted Average or its back-allocation method set to Weighted Split. Note that this setting may be overridden in individual modules.
Ringfence Order This can be used to set a scalar Numeric variable that will specify the ordering of projects in a ringfence. This setting may be overridden in individual modules. The default setting is Default which implies no specific ordering, as per the behavior in earlier versions.
Start Year This setting applies only to contract terms. If any of the terms variables are Time Series, this date specifies the start of the data.
Inflation Date This setting applies only to contract terms variables set to Currency and Real. This specifies the date from which inflation will be applied.
Scalar Conversion Date This setting applies only to contract terms variables set to Currency and Real. The date entered here will determine the values that scalar variables will use.
Comments Additional text information about the regime, such as its purpose, version history, or special terms.
Linked Reports Specifies reports that will be automatically generated after a project, based on this regime, is calculated. See Add a report to a regime. The arrow buttons are used to change the order in which the reports are displayed. To link or remove reports, use the Add and Remove buttons under this field.
